This is gorgeous! Really like depth and vibrancy you put into your colors. Composition's real noice, with just enough detail so it's not an eye sore. It's also just wholesome, yo~

Why thank you! I put a lot of effort in these cards, which is why the game isn't done yet haha.. but I'm hoping my effort pays off when I am

my dumbass thinking "Oh, it's the Medic!"

but yeah, very dynamic and badass

great motion in the crack-shot pose!

Look at that beautiful shirt!! >:O

I dig her look, but her pose is sort of 'meh'
I'm not too sure what she's feeling in this moment. Perhaps if her arms were pointed more out, her reach is stronger. As a silhouette, it blends too much.

Nikcesco responds:

Thanks for the feedback. It's rare I get any thoughtful critique on my work. So it's nice to know these things.

At the risk of sounding defensive, I'd like to explain the decisions that went into making this. For her expression, I intentionally "blanked" it, because the reference I was using, already had a very subtle expression. Like someone straining to comprehend something. All I did was relax her brows, because I figured it would make her appear kinder.

As for the pose. Again, it was an intentional alteration from the reference. I did consider putting her elbows out. However, I figured elbows in would appear more comfortable and kinder.

So basically, I took what could be seen as an aggressive outward gesture, and turned it into a contemplative inward gesture.

Aw dude, that's really sweet! Also the rectangle gradient really draws the eye from the bottom to the top. A lotta people rely on painted gradients, but this is a great example of (somewhat) flat coloring making a more impressive fade. I gotta try this more often!
